The Brief

The mechanical works for this central London office refurbishment included the following:

• Design, supply and installation on 6nr Toshiba AC systems within the 4^th, 2^nd and 1^st floor areas, with one system serving the rear wall units and other front wall units on each floor. The pipework is to run within the raised floor void to the riser and run to the roof through the office floors.
• Supply and install 6nr Condensers on the roof, these will be installed side by side within an external enclosure.
• All the AC System the refrigerant systems will be a 2-pipe system using soft copper tube with brazed joints and manufacture made “refnets” tee pieces.
• Supply and install a new AHU this comprises of a heat wheel and an integral DX refrigeration system to heat or cool the air to room condition. This will top up heat reclaim from the heat wheel.
• AHU will be installed on the roof and is suitable for external installation, the AHU will have its own internal controls.
• Installation of a new fan in the tank room and installation of new ductwork and air valves on each floor.
• Amend the refrigerant charge according to the pipe measurements
• Carry out a pressure and evacuation test on all the systems
• All testing for the air conditioning systems has been supported by accompanying documentation including certificates
• Drawings and an operation and maintenance manual were included as per the criteria
• A F-Gas logbook has been completed and included as standard
